Ahok Hopes for Welfare of Jakarta People on City's Anniversary

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or BTP sends birthday messages to the capital and all of its residents on the city's 492nd anniversary through video footage he posted on his official Twitter account, Saturday, June 22.
"I definitely hope for the welfare of the Jakarta people," said the man who is also known as Ahok today, June 22.

Basuki also prays that the city he once led for three years before he put behind bars over religious blasphemy allegation in 2017, will continue to compete with world's cities.
"[to become] a clean and neat city, with a better happiness level of the people."
Through the @basuki_btp account, he wishes the people of Jakarta to live long with good health; mentally and physically.
Earlier, BTP sends critics to the current Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan following the construction permit (IMB) on Jakarta reclaimed islet.
Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta celebrates its 492nd anniversary. A number of events are held at the city center around Bundaran HI (Hotel Indonesia Roundabout) area and in several other spots.
