TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two local tourists died from drowning at Lake Biru in Cisoka, Tangerang Regency, Monday, June 17. Kiki Mulyana and Dede Kusyadi, both in their twenties, fell into the lake after the canoe they rode on capsized when trying to take photos
Kiki and Dede were out-of-town visitors who were at the lake for leisure. The two were from Bandung.
According to Cisoka Police Chief Adj. Comr. Uka Subakti, when reaching the middle of the lake, Kiki stood on the canoe to be photographed by Dede.
"She lost her balance and fell into the lake. Dede tried to help, but the canoe capsized," Uka said.
The local fire department arrived at the scene and conducted a search. The victims were found two hours later, already dead.
