TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The head of Jokowi - Ma’ruf legal team, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, said that they had submitted 19 pieces of evidence and arguments to Constitutional Court (MK), that will be used to face the presidential election dispute filed by Prabowo - Sandiaga.
“We have sent 19 pieces of evidence; not as many those that are sent by KPU (Election Commission) and Bawaslu (Election Supervisory Board), ” said Yusril in Jakarta Constitutional Court building, Thursday, June 13.
The evidence comprised of voice and video recordings, CD (compact disc), and several letters, Yusril added.
“All of the evidence has been submitted to MK. Because data that must be presented in trials are KPU’s argumentation as a litigant, and we support what KPU delivers,” said Yusril.
He explained that the evidence was aimed to support the decision of KPU. “We accept KPU’s decision, that’s the right result of 2019 presidential election final tally,” he said.
Today, June 14, Constitutional Court will host the first hearing of presidential election dispute, and the court ruling will be declared during a trial on June 28.
