Sri Mulyani: Infrastructure Triggers Economic Growth

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani hoped that more productive economic activities will immediately resumes after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. The government believed that the completion of infrastructures such as highways and toll roads can trigger equal economic growth in Indonesia.
"Activities that can revive the economic pulse are expected to begin today and onwards," Minister Sri said during an open house event on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
In addition, homecoming trips had also expanded to regions outside of Java, and will provide an effect on economic activities.
"After a few months we were faced with election situation, we hoped that the Lebaran situation can create a momentum of confidence,"she stated.
Sri added that in the first quarter of 2019, Indonesia's economic growth is considered well and consumption rate can still grow above five percent. The Minister hoped that such condition can be maintained because prices are relatively stable.
