Jokowi-Prabowo Meeting on Eid Day Still Unlikely

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto may not meet with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi on the Eid al-fitr Day this year. Prabowo camp spokesman Andre Rosiade said it was possible the meeting would take place after Eid Day.
“I have not received the info yet. Probably after Eid Day,” Andre said on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
Andre added Prabowo would meet Jokowi at the right moment. However, he stopped short of describing the moment.

Earlier, Prabowo’s running-mate Sandiaga Uno said Prabowo was awaiting an invitation from Jokowi for a meeting. He said Prabowo would come after receiving the invitation.
Andre said there were two possibilities as to when the meeting would take place: on Eid Day or after the announcement from the Constitutional Court (MK) on the results of the election dispute case filed by the Prabowo camp.

The MK is slated to announce the case results on June 28, 2019.
“It could be after the invitation, or after the MK announcement, the sure thing is we are waiting for the right moment,” the Gerindra politician said.
