TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Up till D-1 of Eid, a total of 8,487 people have departed from the Tanjung Priok Terminal on 875 buses.
“They left for various destinations,” said Tanjung Priok Terminal head Mulya in a written statement on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
Mulya went on to say that to D-1 of Eid 9,331 travelers had arrived at the terminal from regions on and outside of Java Island on 1,135 buses.
The terminal operator has obliged all bus drivers to undergo medical checkups during the Eid homecoming exodus this year.

“We have checked on 772 people in total, 580 of them were found healthy while the remaining 142 were unfit,” he said.
He explained that bus drivers were barred from leaving the terminal bereft of healthy certificates.
A total of 75 personnel from the police, the military, the capital’s public order agency (Satpol PP) and the North Jakarta’s Transportation Agency secure the terminal during this year’s Eid homebound rush.
