2 June 2019 18:23 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java was visited by many of the people travelling on their homecoming trip. Based on observation, most of the vehicles occupying the parking spaces has Jakarta registration plate, while the others came from other regions such as Bandung, Surabaya, and even from Sumatera.

"There are vehicles from Palembang as well," said one of the street vendors in the area on Saturday, June 1, 2019.

The vendor said that the number of homecomers visiting the temple had started to increase since Friday, 31 May, 2019. "But it started to get crowded [on Saturday]," the shirt vendor stated.

A parking attendant Alvin, confirmed the increase and said that most of the visitors are coming from Jakarta.

"[On Saturday] it is getting crowded. Most [visitors] are from Jakarta,” he said. “[On Friday] it wasn’t crowded," Alvin added, while at the same time predicted that more visitors will continue to come until after Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
