TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Andre Rosiade, deputy secretary general of the Gerindra Party, said they are still investigating the rock-filled ambulance with stickers of the party during the May 22 riot. Andre asked the public to have good faith and be patient to wait while the party investigates the matter.
"We appeal to the public not to jump into conclusions because we are also investigating," Andre told Tempo on Friday, May 24.
Andre also addressed the statement by Jakarta Metro Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono, where he said that the ambulance is registered as owned by PT Arsari Pratama in Central Jakarta. Prabowo's brother Hashim Djojohadikusumo is known to have a company named Arsari Group.
Andre confirmed that the ambulance is indeed a property of PT Arsari Pratama. "According to our deputy chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the ambulance belongs to the company," he said.
Meanwhile, Arsari Pratama director Daniel Poluan had said that the company does not utilize the ambulance. The company, he said, only donated ambulances to an organization called the Kesehatan Indonesia Raya (Kesira) for medical purposes.
Daniel said that the donation was done a long time ago. "We don’t remember when because it was so long ago. And again, it was for medical purpose only," he said.
