TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno has trusted their efforts to file a lawsuit on the 2019 presidential election result to Prabowo's brother, Hashim Djojohadikusumo.
The Gerindra Party Deputy will lead the BPN team to file a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court (MK).
"Pak Prabowo and I appointed Hashim Djodjohadikusumo as the person in charge on our efforts to the MK," said Sandiaga Uno on May 23, 2019, at Prabowo Subianto's house in Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
Sandiaga said that the BPN team is finalizing their team of advocates and are considering to include several names such as Rikrik Rizkiyana, Denny Indrayana, Bambang Widjojanto, and Andi Irmanputra Sidin.
Advocate Otto Hasibuan was previously mentioned to lead BPN's legal team. However, Otto denied the information and said that he has yet to coordinate with the BPN team.
Tempo's source said that Prabowo's advocate team had held a meeting at Hashim's office Arsari Group that is located at Ayana Midplaza Building in Sudirman, Central Jakarta.
Rikrik was questioned about this issue on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, but refused to issue any statement as he lacks the authority to issue a statement representing the BPN legal team. "Pak Hasyim will answer it, I'm not the one to ask," said Rikrik, who’s also Sandiaga Uno's company legal counsel.
