Prabowo-Sandi Announces Advocates Team Tomorrow

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno will announce their team of advocates that will handle the lawsuit filed against the result of the 2019 Presidential Election. The lawsuit is said to be filed to he Constitutional Court on Friday, May 24, 2019. Sandiaga said that currently, they are still discussing and finalizing the team.

"Yes, at two o'clock tomorrow, after the team has been established, we will announce it tomorrow," Sandiaga said in front of Prabowo's house on Kertanegara street, South Jakarta, on Thursday, May 23, 2019.

Earlier this afternoon, Prabowo and Sandiaga conducted a meeting with advocate Otto Hasibuan. Otto, who previously denied that he will lead the team of advocates, arrived at Kertanegara with Deputy Chief of Gerindra Party Advisory Board Hashim Djojohadikusumo.

Coordinator of the Prabowo-Sandi Winning Team (BPN) Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, had mentioned four names to be part of the team: Rikrik Rizkiyana; Bambang Widjojanto; Denny Indrayana; and Andi Irmanputra Sidin. Dahnil said that the team is coordinated by Rikrik.

However, on Wednesday evening, Rikrik was reluctant to comment on his position, either as a member of the team, or as the team's coordinator. Bambang Widjojanto, who visited BPN headquarter on Wednesday afternoon, claimed that he had only come to do prayers. Meanwhile, Andi Irmanputra Sidin and Denny Indrayana still have not responded to Tempo's inquiries.

Prabowo and Sandiaga only had time until Friday, May 24, 2019, midnight to file their lawsuit to the Constitutional Court. Sandiaga, however, did not provide details on when they will file the lawsuit. Whereas, Hashim had made a comment.

"Tomorrow we go to the Constitutional Court at 2:00 PM," said Prabowo's brother on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
