TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As the May 22 rally subsides, PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta resumes its underground stations' operations albeit not fully. Passengers can ride up to Dukuh Atas Station starting at 08:30 this morning, May 23.
Yesterday, the MRT only ran from Lebak Bulus Station to ASEAN Station.
"The underground stations that span from Senayan to Dukuh Atas BNI are open again starting from 08:30 this morning until further notice," MRT Jakarta's corporate secretary Muhamad Kamaluddin said in a written statement, Thursday.

Kamaluddin said that the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout remains closed for public. He did not say when it would reopen.
The rally-turned-riot broke on the evening of May 22 at M.H. Thamrin Road, in front of the Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) building in Central Jakarta. The clash between security officers and rioters ensued until early in the morning.
The police tried to disperse protesters as they have overstayed the allowed demonstration time, but they resisted and threw rocks and firecrackers at the police.
