TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airline operator Angkasa Pura I increased the security measure at the airports after the General Elections Commission (KPU) announced the official result of 2019 Indonesia Elections recapitulation.
"The election result increases our vigilance," said AP I director Faik Fahmi at Plaza Senayan mall, Jakarta, today, May 22.
Faik's office released an issuance informing its airports to increase the security from May 21 until the 2019 Eid homecoming and returning season ended.
"The security factor at the airports is our priority," he said, adding that it is to improve the company's service.
"We're conducting corrective action from last year in order to have better coordination and preparation," he said.
Since May 21, mass supporting Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno held a rally protesting the outcome of KPU's vote count who won the incumbent candidate Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin.
The rally was held in front of the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) building, Central Jakarta. The mass not only came from the capital Jakarta but also from various regions in the country.
