TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has named Lt. Gen. TNI Hinsa Siburian, a high-ranking TNI Army officer, as head of the Cyber Body and National Encryption Agency (BSSN). The inauguration took place today at noon at the State Palace in Jakarta.

Hinsa's appointment as head of BSSN gives him financial administration rights and other ministerial-level facilities.

Hinsa was the best graduate of the Military Academy in 1986. From August 2015 to April 2017 he served as Commander of the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Area. He was born on October 28, 1959.

On the official website of PT Freeport Indonesia site, Lt. Gen. Hinsa Siburian is listed as one of the mining company's commissioners.
