TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The campaign team of Prabowo - Sandiaga Uno has decided to challenge the result of 2019 presidential election to the Constitutional Court (MK). The team director for legal and advocacy, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said the decision was made during the meeting this afternoon, May 21.
“Today’s meeting decides presidential candidate pair number 02 will submit a legal dispute to the Constitutional Court,” said Dasco in front of Prabowo’s residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 21.
Dasco explained the Gerindra chair has instructed his team to prepare the lawsuit. The team has three days after the announcement by the Election Commission (KPU) earlier hours today.

“We will prepare the material within the next few days based on the set time window to submit a legal dispute to MK,” the Gerindra deputy chair added.
Today, May 21, Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with the campaign team higher-ups at his residence on Jalan Kertanegara. Attended the session were Gerindra secretary-general Ahmad Muzani, Democrat sec-gen Hinca Panjaitan, Berkarya sec-gen Priyo Budi Santoso, and the running mate Sandiaga Uno.
After completing the national vote recapitulation earlier today, KPU announced the incumbent Jokowi - Ma’ruf won the 2019 presidential election with 85,607,362 votes (55.50 percent), while Prabowo - Sandiaga got 68,650,239 votes (44.50 percent).
