TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Mataram District Court has sentenced to death 45-year-old French national Dorfin Felix on Monday, May 20, 2019.
The sentence was by far heavier than the prosecutor’s demand of 20 years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rp10 billion substitutable with another year behind bars.
In the verdict announced by presiding judge Isnurul Samsul Arif, Dorfin was found guilty of distributing type I, non-plant narcotics weighing over 5 grams, thus violating Article 113 of Law 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics.

“It was indicated that the defendant is a member of an international narcotics syndicate, and what he did could be detrimental to the young generation and the national security,” Isnurul said.
