Sofyan, now an inactive president director of PLN, was named a suspect by the KPK on April 23, 2019.
The KPK suspects Sofyan of saying yes to a bribery promise, from the shareholder of Blackgold Natural Resources Ltd, Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo, just like Golkar Party politician Eni Maulani Saragih, who at the time served as Deputy of Energy Commission.
Febri said that the Energy Ministry was involved in in the preparation of the coal-fired power plant project, which is the basis of KPK`s decision to question Jonan.
