TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Google Maps will be integrated with website informing travelers essential issues about homecoming, or known as mudik. The app will provide news required by the users during the homecoming trip, such as the route and public facility along the route.
"We collaborate with the government to provide information about mudik," said the head of marketing Google Indonesia, Veronica Utami, in a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, May 16.
The app will feature various information about Indonesia's homecoming from infomudik.go.id from two weeks before the Eid al-Fitr Day.
Users can find info on the locations of the gas station, health service, and nearest homecoming post through the application.
During Ramadan, Google teams up with culinary app Qraved to provide its users the options on restaurants to break the fast.
Users can reserve a table through Google Maps that is integrated with Qraved website. This feature is only available in the Jakarta area.
