TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 212 alumni brotherhood or PA 212 planned to hold mass iftar in front of the Election Commission (KPU) office on May 21 and 22, demanding the election organizer stop the announcement of the vote recapitulation result.
“[We are] demanding KPU stop the announcement because it will surely announce the winning of candidate number 01 (Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin) who is strongly suspected to practice systematic fraud,” said PA 212 spokesman Novel Bamukmin when contacted on Thursday, May 16.
They also urged KPU disqualify the incumbent candidate after the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) found KPU conducted wrong deeds related to the election.
Novel said that several figures from PA 212 would attend the event yet he could not detail the names. “I haven’t heard information on who will present,” he added.
On Thursday, May 16, Bawaslu decided that KPU violated the procedure of the 2019 general elections for not announcing the public about agencies participated in the quick count.
“KPU has legally proven to violate procedures of the 2019 general elections,” said the head of judges, Abhan, in the Bawaslu office today. The trial was held following the report issued by Prabowo - Sandiaga campaign team related to quick count pollster.
Earlier, KPU decided that the result of vote recapitulation of the 2019 general elections, either presidential or legislative election, will take place on May 22, 2019.
To date, during a plenary meeting of the election recapitulation meeting today, May 15, Jokowi - Ma’ruf gained some 59.7 million votes or 59.77 percent, while Prabowo - Sandiaga trailed with around 40 million votes or 40.23 percent.
