Mayor Airin Talks of Bogor Gathering with AHY, Regional Heads

TEMPO.CO, South Tangerang - South Tangerang Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany said that the gathering in Balai Kitri Presidential Museum, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday, May 15, discussed their concern for the country’s current condition. The event was attended by regional leaders and young national figures.
“We care for this nation and country. I came as the head of the Indonesian City Administration Association (APEKSI), and we hope our gathering will bring peace,” said the Mayor when met in Serpong, Thursday, May 16.
She also pinned hope the democracy in Indonesia will further be better. “Hopefully [the country] will be in peace without conflict, and the most important is we focus on developing better Indonesia,” she underlined.
The gathering, dubbed Bogor Gathering for Indonesia, was initiated by Bogor Mayor Arya Sugiarto. Regional heads invited to the event were West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, West Nusa Tenggara Governor Zulkieflimansyah, South Sulawesi Governor Abdullah, East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak, Banyuwangi Mayor Azwar Anas, and South Tangerang Mayor as well.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was also invited but he could not meet it.
The director executive of the Yudhoyono Institute, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY, and director of Wahid Institute Yenny Wahid also showed up in the gathering.
Mayor Airin instantly denied when asked about whether the event talked of ministerial seats for the future cabinet. “No topic on the matter. That’s a fiction. [We] talked about the food taste, the noodle, only small talks,” she said.
