TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - This morning Twitter was amazed by a tweet from Mahfud MD who stated that the house belonging to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono will get evicted due to a toll road construction in Bekasi.
The PUPR Ministry’s Spokesman Endra S. Atmawidjaja confirmed Mahfud’s tweet. “Yes, the tweet is correct,” said Endra on Wednesday.
In his tweet, Mahfud wrote about minister Basuki’s decision to accept facing eviction even though he is the lead man on the country’s infrastructure construction. Mahfud also compared his decision to that of another state official who opted to reroute an infrastructure project rather than have it pass private property.

“Respect for Pak Basuki,” Mahfud tweeted.
Minister Basuki Hadimuljono is Surakarta-born back in November 5, 1954, and is more known for his uplifting attitude toward the people surrounding him. He is also favored by the press for his friendly demeanor toward journalists.
Basuki always dresses simple with a cap and polo shirt and is visually far from the average State Minister would dress. He has undergone his thirty-first year as a civil servant (PNS).
