Police Reveal Murder at Tangerang Apartment

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police arrested a man for allegedly committing murder in an apartment in South Tangerang. Susanto (37) is suspected of killing Sulastri (21) at Tower C of the Habitat Apartment.

The police arrested Susanto at Poris Plawad in Cipondoh, Tangerang City.

"The arrest is based on witness testimonies that matched the footages of security cameras," South Tangerang Police Chief, Adj. Sr. Comr. Ferdy Irawan said on Monday, May 13.

According to Ferdi, Susanto was the last person known to have met with Tari. The two were introduced via the WeChat messaging app .

"They then agreed to go on a date with a fee of Rp400,000," he said.

Based on preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the motive for this murder was robbery. When inviting Tari to date, Susanto actually only had Rp50,000 with him.
