TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government is preparing to launch an integrated interactive portal www.infomudik.go.id for people seeking information related to this year's Eid homecoming—a.k.a. 'mudik' period. The Presidential Staff Office's first deputy, Darmawan Prasodjo, hopes the portal, which is supported by Google Indonesia, can improve the delivery of information regarding this year's mudik situation.
He said that the portal has three main features: road access, best routes, and rest areas. Another feature is information about the locations of health clinics and health posts along the homecoming route.

Through this portal, he said, the public can also add information, such as where to eat and sightseeing areas.
"This portal is not static—it continues to grow in line with the 2019 Eid holiday and the homecoming period," Darmawan said in Jakarta yesterday, May 12.
