TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, East Java, will open for 24 hours during the 2019 Eid al-Fitr holidays to serve its customers.
It will start from D-7 until D+7 of Eid or from May 29 to June 13, said Juanda's Angkasa Pura 1 Legal and Communication Section Head, Yuristo.
"It is based on the opening of 2019 Eid homecoming transport monitoring post scheduled to be stationed for 16 days since D minus 7 until D plus 7," he said Friday, May 10.
Similar to previous years, airport's stakeholders such as Airport Authority at area III of Surabaya, Juanda air base, military, police, Airnav, Ground Handling, airlines, BMKG, and Basarnas will be involved in the monitoring post, said Yuristo.
"In addition to serve the customers during the Eid transport period, the post is also specifically tasked to monitor and record air transport movement during the holiday and report it to the integrated central post," he said.
Yuristo went on to say that the post will be opened at Juanda International Airport's Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
The airport's full operational hours is based on air transportation director-general instruction on Eid air transportation 2019.
