Gov't Allocates Rp20tn THR Payout for State Civil Apparatus

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry is allocating Rp20 trillion in funds to pay the holiday allowances (THR) for state civil apparatus. The THR bonus is also eligible for civil servants, military personnel, and the police.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government regulation concerning the THR payout had been signed by President Joko Widodo.
Meanwhile, the technical rules for the implementation by the Finance Ministry are expected to be finalized today, May 9.
"After that, all ministries, institutions and local governments can begin the process of submitting [the THR budget proposal]," Sri Mulyani said.
The government has said that the THR bonuses will be given on May 24, 2019.
In addition to THR, the government has also completed the disbursement for the 13th salary through the same rules and with the same amount of Rp20 trillion. The 13th salary will be given to state apparatus in mid-year or around July, to coincide with the new school year.
