May 6, KPU Vote Count Favors Jokowi over Prabowo by 13mn Votes

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Until Monday, May 6, 19:30 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), the 2019 presidential election’s vote count information system (Situng) has compiled 68.62 percent of the total vote and showed the Jokowi-Ma’ruf pair still prevailed over rival Prabowo-Sandiaga.
The Jokowi-Maruf pair still finished first by collecting 59,201,949 votes (56.30 percent) while the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno ticket garnered 45,956,654 votes (43.70 percent) as shown on the General Elections Commission's (KPU) official website pemilu2019.kpu.go.id.
This means that there is a gap of 13,245,295 votes between Jokowi and Prabowo’s temporary vote tally.

KPU managed to calculate votes from 558,179 polling stations (TPS) out of the total 813,350 across Indonesia.
KPU chairman Arief Budiman explained the results were based on the manual calculation done by polling station working committees (KPPS), which was written on the official C1 forms used as the basis for the Situng calculation.
The commission targeted to complete the vote recapitulation on May 22, 2019.
