TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Rini Soemarno said that the asset of the public company by the end of 2018 amounted to Rp8,000 trillion. The credit was based on the accumulation of 143 state companies under the ministry.
“Assets of 143 SOE will be constantly fostered and watched,” said Rini during an inauguration event of SOE building in her office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Sunday, May 5.
Rini explained the revenue from the corporate consolidation reached Rp2,000 trillion with the net profit of Rp200 trillion. This increased from the last year’s revenue Rp186 trillion.
The minister claimed the profit had been audited so the figure could be held accountable. In line with the hike in asset and revenue, Rini underlined that her ministry and stakeholders were able to generate a positive investment climate.

Throughout 2018, Rini recorded the state company investment reached Rp480 trillion with a total contribution to State Budget at Rp42 trillion. “It is a huge contribution, either from dividends, taxes, or non-tax state income,” she explained.
The good trend in SOE’s asset and income could directly affect the public. Rini claimed the state enterprises provided affordable prices for basic needs, starting from foods to fuel.
The better condition of the state corporate could also be seen from the enhancement of facilities and infrastructure, such as the building revitalization. At present, the SOE Ministry succeeded to construct the ministry’s main building in tandem with public firms. The cost, Rini added, did not come from State Budget (APBN).
The SOE Ministry planned to build SOE Center in the ministry’s building area that spans 171 square meters and commercial building, as well as co-working space for millennials. “We support millennials to be active and innovative in developing SOE in co-working space,” Rini Soemarno concluded.
