Minister Warns Not to Hold Rally to Protest Election Result

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Defense Minister General (ret) Ryamizard Ryacudu has warned those who are disappointed with the result of the election not to conduct street rallies.
"This is a state based on law, there should not be an action conducted against the Constitution," Ryacudu said on the sidelines of Ramadhan Fun Day, an event to welcome the Ramadan fasting month on Sunday.

He called on people who are unsatisfied with the result of the general election to file legal suits and submit any evidence of fraud on the implementation of the election.
The minister has also called on supporters of both presidential candidates to push aside disagreement during the election.
"No more supporters of 01, 02, it is time to unite now," he said.
