Indonesia-Netherlands Establish Transportation Partnership

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said Indonesia and the Netherlands have agreed to strengthen bilateral relations in the transportation sector. The two nations came to the decision in February during a bilateral meeting.
At the third Bilateral Maritime Forum between Indonesia and Netherlands, the two countries agreed to increase effective cooperation in vocational training in the fields of transportation, shipbuilding, and port development.
"And other operational fields," Minister Budi said at the Dutch Cultural Center in South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 30.
Budi said, Indonesia and the Netherlands have a unique background and history of connections, which makes relations between the two countries closer and more dynamic.
Not only in the field of transportation, partnerships between Indonesia and the Netherlands are also carried out in the fields of trade, investment, infrastructure, agriculture, maritime affairs, education and tourism.
