“We appreciate several provincial administrations that have granted compensation,” Viryan added.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said the government will hand over the compensation. “I have reviewed a recommendation on giving an allowance. We will likely accommodate it in a more common standard of payment,” said the minister in Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Tuesday, April 23.
However, Sri Mulyani stopped short of detailing the amount of compensation for families of the KPPS members who died allegedly due to fatigue following the 2019 simultaneous elections, saying that the calculation was still afoot based on the prevailing law.
