Sri Lanka Bombing Casualties Rise to 215

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thirty-five foreign nationals became victims of a bomb attack in Sri Lanka on Sunday, April 21, which was an Easter Sunday. Among them are British and Indian nationals.
"The casualties include five British nationals, two of which had dual citizenships of the United States. Three other are Indians," an Australian media reported on Sunday.
Other victims are Denmark (3), Turkey (2), Portugal (1), China (1), and the Netherlands. The victims were inside the hotel rooms that were targeted by the bomb attacks; the Shangri La, the Cinnamon Grand, and Kingsbury.

All hotels are located in the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo.
The Sri Lankan authority has instructed all hotels' management to enhance security.
Three churches were also targeted, the St. Anthony in Colombo, the St. Sebastian in Negombo, and the church of Zion in Batticaloa.
Meanwhile, Sputnik News reported that the attack has at least killed 215 people and injured 450. Local authorities said that the number of casualties is likely to increase.
Three police officers were among those who were killed in the series of bomb attack. The policemen died when raiding a house in Mahawila Gardens to search for a bomb, when suddenly there was an explosion.
