Tokopedia, Bukalapak Offer Cashback for Voters on Election Day

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Not only stores and restaurants offering discounts and promotion, local e-commerce Tokopedia and Bukalapak also provide cash back for consumers who have cast a ballot for the legislative and presidential election this year.
Tokopedia’s VP of corporate communications, Nuraini Razak, said her side joined in the KlingKing Fun to encourage Indonesians to extend their rights to vote.
KlingKing Fun is a campaign initiated by the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) in tandem with Communications and Informatics Ministry (Kominfo) and business associations by giving promotions and discounts for voters to boost the public participation in the election.
“Tokopedia offers cash back you can grab through KlingKing Fun program on April 17, 2019,” Nuraini told Bisnis on Tuesday, April 16.
After the voting, People should register in a website klingkingfun.id by using an email address and upload the purple-inked pinky finger (kelingking) that marking participation in the election. Every registrar will get a unique code to be converted into cashback.
KlingKing Fun campaign involves 250 brands and famous retailers starting from online shop, fashion, food, and beverages, to cinema, including Sogo, Sushi Tei, Cinema XXI, and Ace Hardware, among others.
In addition, fashion retailers granting discounts are Wacoal, Jockey, Le Coq Sportif, The Executive, Suqma, Muslimmarket, Tirajeans, Wrangler, Emba Classic, Hendry Adams, Jobb, Coconut Island, Used Jeans, Seibu, Galeries Lafayette, Emba Jeans, Alun Alun Indonesia, Colorbox, Et Cetera, Jack Nicklaus, and Byford, etc.
Promotion is also presented by stores under retail group PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk, viz. Mama Malaka, Mokka Coffe Cabana, Gyu Jin Teppan, Pish & Posh Cafe, and Breadtalk, as well as Kinokuniya bookstore, Johny Andrean saloon, and supermarket Golden Truly.
The Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) deputy head Shinta Widjaja Kamdani said voters can show their inked fingers to get discounts in both online and offline retail stores, as well as famous brands. “Two e-commerce joining the KlingKing Fun program are Tokopedia and Bukalapak,” she said.
