TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Constitutional Court (MK) chief justice Mahfud MD predicts there will be many disputes in the 2019 general elections reported to the MK as a cause of the combination on voting for presidential candidates and legislative members.
As an anticipative measure, the Constitutional Court has prepped a regulation that oversees technical detail and court schedules.
MK Spokesman I Dewa Gede Palguna said on Tuesday; “We have been long prepared for potential elections disputes.”

The preparation from MK can be traced back to one year ago when they held training sessions and technical guidance to numerous generations within the MK.
“They consist of general elections committees, political parties participating in the elections, and lawyers,” said I Dewa Gede.
This makes the MK fully-prepared of the upcoming challenges on handling the legislative elections. This leaves them with enough time to face possible presidential election disputes, which Palguna said will not have any laws adjusted to.
