Govt Urges SOEs to Seek Alternative Funding

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno said the government encourages SOES to seek alternative funding sources. She said that the state budget is not enough to finance all of the country's infrastructure projects, which amounts to Rp5,000 trillion for five years.
In addition to infrastructure, Rini said there are other important sectors that require large financing such as manufacturing and energy.
"Go to the capital market to seek potential funding sources," she said in Jakarta, Monday, April 15.

Rini said the government will facilitate state companies planning issue alternative funding sources.
Jasa Marga is a state company that diligently seek funding in stock markets. Since 2017, the toll road operator has issued numerous instruments, from bonds, asset securities, private equities, and more recently; mutual funds.
The new product, called Dana Investasi Infrastruktur or KIK-DINFRA, has the Gempol-Pandaan toll road as underlying asset.
