TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has released its latest data on state officials’ compliance in submitting their wealth reports (LHKPN) for the year 2018.
The data showed that up to 18:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) of April 14, 2019, three of the 33 ministers of the Working Cabinet had yet to file their reports—among them Tourism Minister Arief Yahya.
Arief Yahya has dismissed the report when asked for confirmation, saying he was among the ministers who regularly reported his wealth. “I report it regularly,” Arief said at Tempo’s office on Monday, April 15, 2019.

Arief’s argument, however, was at odds with the KPK’s data that Tempo received, in which Arief was said to be among the three ministers who had yet to file their LHKPN for the year 2019. The other two ministers are Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Administrative and Bureaucratic Minister Syafruddin.
The KPK said the compliance level in 2018 rose from that in 2017. “There is an increase from 60 percent to 70 percent,” KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said on Monday, April 8, 2019.
Based on the KPK's data, a total of 350,002 state officials from the executive, judicative and legislative levels and those of State-owned Enterprises (SOE) as well as Regional-owned Enterprises (ROE) are obliged to report their wealth.
