Final Presidential Debate; Top Programs of Jokowi, Prabowo

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The presidential debate at the Sultan Hotel tonight, April 13, will become the final debate between Joko Widodo or Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin ticket and Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno ticket.
The establishment of the fifth debate will be the last chance for both candidates to explain their programs before the election day on April 17.
The final presidential debate will talk about the economy and public welfare, financial and investment, as well as trade industry.
The following are several programs mentioned by both candidate tickets.
1. Economy
Jokowi - Ma'ruf ticket delivers their optimism that Indonesia is able to become the world's top 5 economy in 2045. Jokowi views that under his administration, the reform in fiscal has reached a healthy, fair, and independent State Budget.
For Prabowo - Sandiaga ticket, the current State Budget structure has yet to boost the economic growth very well. Therefore, fiscal stability is needed by, among others, maintaining the deficit of the State Budget.
2. Investment
Jokowi asserts the importance of the private sectors' involvement to reach the target of economic growth in 2019 and 2020. He views that the amount of incoming investment, as well as export, should be high, in order to make Indonesia's economy healthy.
Meanwhile, Prabowo - Sandiaga promises a more nationalist economy without harming investors and private parties.
3. Industry
Both candidate tickets support the development of the Indonesian industry that is entering the industry revolution 4.0
Jokowi as the President has issued a roadmap and strategy of Indonesia dubbed 'Making Indonesia 4.0' at the end of 2018, to implement the industry revolution 4.0 which will become the path for movement of the national industry in the future.
Meanwhile, Prabowo wants to make sure that Indonesia will be able to supply foods on its own without importing, aiming that the prices will be affordable for all the elements of society.
4. Public Welfare
Jokowi promises to improve public welfare through his three cards program, namely Sembako (staple foods) Card, Pre-employment Card, and Indonesia Smart Card for university students.
On the other hand, Prabowo will solve the public welfare problems without cards. He promises to cut the price of sembako in 100 days after his inauguration if he is elected as the Indonesian President. He also says that his expert team is able to reduce the electricity price, as well as to increase farmers welfare.
