TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) is still in the process of collecting evidence in relation to the punctured voting ballots in Malaysia. Bawaslu stated that they will make a decision once enough evidence are collected.
"Currently, we are collecting documents and data on the supervision in Malaysia," said Bawaslu Chief Abhan at the Commission Eradication Commission office on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Abhan said that the Bawaslu received reports related to the punctured ballots from officers in Malaysia. Video of the discovery of the ballots also circulated in social media. In the video, it appears that the ballots have been punctured for Jokowi and Maruf Amin, and for some legislative candidates. Based on the finding, the Bawaslu has requested for the 2019 election in Malaysia to be stopped.
Abhan said that the Bawaslu will investigate the people responsible for and motive of the foul play.
