TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Management of popular tourist destination Piaynemo in Raja Ampat, West Papua, is planning to temporarily close its gates during election day on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
Piaynemo's Brian Fakdawer said that the reason for its temporary closure is the management's attempt to succeed the 2019 general elections.
He maintained that it will only be closed on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, and will serve tourists, as usual, the following day on April 18, 2019.
Brian announced that the management has issued a circular to every stakeholder, especially travel agencies, homestays, resorts, and cruise ships.
He said that the circular letter is acknowledged by village leaders of Kampung Pam, Kampung Saukabu and Kampung Saupapir, which each own areas in the Piaynemo tourist site.
