Sandiaga Promises Lower electricity Tariff

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice Presidential Candidate Sandiaga Uno promised to women in Sukabumi that he will lower electricity tariffs by 20 percent.
"If you want electricity tariffs [to be lowered], choose Prabowo – Sandi, by God's willing, electricity tariffs, gradually within five years, will be lowered. At least 20 percent, while the money will be returned to women’s pockets," Sandi said during a campaign rally in Sukabumi on April 11, 2019.
During the occasion, the former Jakarta Deputy Governor also received donations from his supporters. The supported collected paper bills ranging from IDR 1,000 up to IDR 100,000 were in a plastic bag.
Sandi said that the amount if donations had reached billions of Rupiahs. He added that he will report the donations to the General Election Commission in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.
The money is said to be channeled back to his supporters who will be guarding election booths, and to provide a public kitchen. "We will use this money for our struggle," Sandiaga said through the loudspeaker during his oration.
