TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The campaign team (TKN) for Joko "Jokowi" Widodo – Ma'ruf Amin announced that the presidential candidate is set to explain the country's economic achievement and clarify several issues on foreign debt during the 5th and final presidential debate on April 13, 2019.
"The pair will explain about debts that were managed prudently and productively, which will not become a problem. It’s different when those debts are politicized with hoaxes and slanders," said TKN deputy chief Johnny G. Plate in a written statement on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Furthermore, Johnny said that the candidate's focus will mainly focus on explaining Indonesia's economic stability in the midst of a global crisis, international trade war, and European Union’s financial instability that has a role in pressuring Indonesia's economy.
According to Johnny, the incumbent presidential candidate will also be criticizing the programs offered by his opponent Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno, which he said offers a solution without comprehensively weighing in on numerous external factors in the world’s economy.
The fifth and final presidential debate between Jokowi- Ma’ruf Amin and Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno will be held on Saturday, April 13. The debate will mainly talk about economic issues, social welfare, finance, investments, and domestic industries.
