TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Incumbent presidential candidate Joko Widodo or Jokowi is aiming to earn 55 percent votes in the 2019 presidential election in Jakarta province. The head of the Jokowi - Ma'ruf campaign team of Jakarta chapter, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, said the target is realistic considering the incumbent had previously governed the capital city.
“The figure is as similar as in the 2014 [presidential election] because he had led Jakarta and the people can see his work performance,” said Prasetyo when met after a campaign in Ciracas Sports Hall, East Jakarta, on Wednesday, April 10.

Prasetyo claimed that Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and Jakarta Health Card (KJS) issued in 2014 successfully garnered people’s sympathy, and so the other three ‘magic cards’ offered in the upcoming election would succeed.
“I see a high public enthusiasm in continuing Jokowi government,” Prasetyo noted.
During the campaign, the former Jakarta Governor mentioned various programs and policies released during his past term and reminded all employees, organization, and Jakartans to wear Batavia traditional costumes in a certain day as stipulated in policy in 2012.
“Alhamdulillah (Praise to God), until now, [many people] still wear the traditional clothes because we want to preserve Batavia culture amidst this modern era,” Jokowi remarked, expressing his optimism in earning 55 percent votes in Jakarta in the 2019 presidential election.
