Former Sukamiskin Warden Sentenced to 8 years for Accepting Bribe

TEMPO.CO, Bandung - The Bandung Corruption Court has sentenced Wahid Husen to eight years in prison. Wahid is the former warden at Sukamiskin Prison who is found guilty of receiving bribes from inmates in the jail he ran.
Wahid is also ordered to pay a fine of Rp400 million, substitutable with an additional incarceration of four months.

The sentence given to Wahid is lighter than what the prosecutor demanded, which was nine years. Judge Sudira said that Wahid was proven to have accepted bribes from three inmates in return of free access outside of the cell.
The inmates who bribed Wahid are Fahmi Darmawansyah, Fuad Amin dan Tubagus Chaeri Wardana.
