Police Apply Traffic Engineering During Prabowo-Sandiaga Campaign

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police traffic unit set a traffic engineering ahead of the public campaign of Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium on Sunday, April 7.
Jakarta Metro Police Chief of Traffic Unit Sr. Comr. Yusuf said besides traffic engineering, the police will also deploy 820 personnel spread in the traffic jam and mass crowd spots.
"Some 820 personnel to be deployed for the success of the event, besides the traffic engineering,” Yusuf confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday, April 6.
The security measure to be divided into six zones that he said almost similar to those during the previous Asian Games event.
The following is the traffic engineering executed by Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit around the GBK Stadium:
1. Sekat II fly over and Bendungan Hilir fly-over
Vehicles from Semanggi are directed to go straight to Slipi and vice versa; no vehicles are allowed to pass Bendungan Hilir fly over to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda
2. FX Sudirman Gate/ Jalan Pintu I Senayan
Vehicles from Senayan roundabout are directed to go straight to Semanggi.
3. Jalan Hang Lekir 2
Traffic from Pakubuwono VI heading to Mustopo campus is directed to Pakubuwono toll.
4. Jalan Hang Lekir 1
Traffic from Jalan Mustopo heading to Asia Afrika should turn right heading to Hang Tuah Raya.
5. Patal Senayan intersection
Vehicles from Patal Senayan 1 heading to Asia Afrika should turn left to Jalan Tentara Pelajar.
6. Tentara Pelajar T-junction
Vehicles from Tentara Pelajar heading to Jalan Patal Senayan are directed to go straight to Permata Hijau.
7. Palmerah
Vehicles from Manggala Wanabakti should go straight to Jalan Tentara Pelajar.
Yusuf suggested GBK management pay attention to the entrance payment system in order to avoid vehicles piling up at the entrance gate.
The police also set parking area for buses inside and outside the GBK Stadium during the public campaign of Prabowo – Sandiaga ticket.
