TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Formula One racer Rio Haryanto believes he can deliver positive results in the Blancpain GT Asia race set to be held at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia on April 5-April 7.

Rio is paired with seasoned endurance racer David Tjiptobiantoro, where both men will be driving for the T2 Motorsports team aboard a Ferrari 488 GT3.

“I will try my hardest to achieve the best result in this race. For sure this is something new but I am positive I will be up for the task,” said Rio Haryanto to Tempo.co in Sepang Friday, April 5.

T2 Motorsports team principal Irmawan Poedjoadi said that the team is still searching for the best setup for the race considering the significant differences to other GT racing series.

“It’s different to the 12-hour and 24-hour endurance races. Blancpain GT Asia will only spend an hour of racing duration. It needs the best combination to produce the best lap times. That is what we are aiming to achieve,” said Irmawan.

The Blancpain GT Asia is currently holding the free practice one and free practice two (FP1 and FP2) today. Tempo.co is taking the role as the team’s official media partner throughout the series.
