TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two Indonesian drivers under the banner of T2 Motorsports team, Rio Haryanto and David Tjiptobiantoro are undergoing several preparations in the wake of the inaugural race in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia 2019.

Indonesia’s seasoned driver David, together with young gun Rio, is currently at Sepang Circuit in Malaysia for further setups with their Ferrari 488 GT3 and several team briefings, as T2 Motorsports wrote in its release.

The seats that will be used for the duo will be cast accordingly to the shape of each racer. Asked about his feeling with the car, former F1 Manor Racing driver Rio Haryanto said; “There are several differences in the car’s traction control and ABS [braking] system.”

On Wednesday, April 3, both David and Rio went through physical and mental training to better handle the GT3-spec Ferrari 488 that produces a claimed 600 horsepower, which they will share in the race scheduled to be held on April 6 – April 7.

Furthermore, David Tjiptobiantoro is said to be Indonesia’s first race car driver that entered the 24-hour endurance cup who started his debut back in 2012 in the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific- Coppa Shell. He managed to finish on top in the 2014 season.

“We’ll find the harmony once we test it early April. Rio with his experience and racing career, we might be able to complete each other,” said David.
