Final Election Debate; KPU Taps Moderators from TV One, NET TV

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Election Commission (KPU) has tapped two moderators for the final presidential election debate on April 13. They are Balques Manisang from TV One and Tomy Ristanto from NET TV.

“We have agreed on the moderators for the fifth debate,” said KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan in a press conference in the KPU central office, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, April 2.

The decision was made after the two-day meeting held since yesterday, April 1, involving the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu), representatives of the campaign team of two candidate pairs, Joko Widodo or Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin and Prabowo - Sandiaga Uno.

Wahyu explained that the upcoming debate will use the same format as in the previous round. The KPU will set the same time limit for the two candidates and assign off-air moderators.

The final election debate will be held at Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, addressing themes of economy and social welfare, finance and investment, as well as trade and industry. The organizers of this last round are TV One, ANTV, Beritasatu TV, and NET TV.

Debate Moderators:

Off-air Moderators:

Amie Ardhini (Berita Satu) and Andromeda Mercury (TV One)

MC for Wall of Fame and commercial break:

Nadia Soekarno (NET TV) and Rudi Andanu (Berita Satu)

MC in the press conference:

Reza Firmansyah Ismail (Berita Satu) and Tysa Novenyl (ANTV)
