TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto called on volunteers to secure the voting stations (TPS) during the election day on April 17 as to anticipate frauds. Prabowo said that his campaign team still found issues on the final voter list (DPT) to date.
Prabowo conveyed his statement during a campaign in Lake Cimpago tourism area, Padang, West Sumatra, on Tuesday, April 2.
“Brothers and sisters, let’s secure voting stations on April 17. Do not let ‘ghost’ comes and casts a ballot. Do not let dead people come to TPS,” said Prabowo as noted in a written statement, referring ghosts and dead people to ineligible voters.
On the occasion, Prabowo said that he is confident in facing the presidential race nearing the voting day. He assessed that Indonesians expect changes through the 2019 presidential election.
“Remember, voting the number 02 is not for the sake of Prabowo - Sandi, but for the future of your next generations,” said the Gerindra Party patron chief.
The Prabowo - Sandiaga campaign team was still questioning the General Election Commission (KPU) in light of the final voter list (DPT) for the 2019 general elections. The team found invalid data, starting from voters with the same birth date until double voters data.
Based on data submitted to the KPU, the campaign team recorded 17.5 million voters having the same birth date on July 1, December 31, and January 1. The team also detected some 304,782 voters aged above 90 years old, 20,475 voters aged under 17 years old, 41,555 manipulative Family Cards, and over 18 million invalid data, as well as over 6 million double voters data.
