TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Election Commission (KPU) has evaluated the third presidential debate that was held on March 17 to improve the fourth presidential debate slated for March 30 at Jakarta’s Shangri-La Hotel.
“The allocated eight minutes for each candidate will be implemented strictly,” said KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan at the KPU headquarters on Friday.
Several differences between the third and fourth presidential debate are as follows:
A strict questioning session between candidates
The fourth and fifth segment will see another session where candidates ask each other questions on ideology, governance, security issues, and international relations. All of the four topics will be separated into two sessions.

Increased number of spectators
KPU will likely invite 500 spectators for the presidential debate with each presidential candidate team allocated 100 invites and 300 exclusively for KPU invitations. This is 50 people more compared to the last debate.
State ministers no longer invited
KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan talked about not inviting Indonesian ministers—a suggestion made by the Prabowo–Sandiaga Uno campaign team (BPN) and was agreed upon by Jokowi’s campaign team (TKN).
