TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Navy’s battleship KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai – 332 is currently stopping by at the Port of Makassar in the Anging Mammiri after patrolling over the waters of Sulawesi.
The latest weapon in the Indonesian Navy is commanded by Marine Colonel (P) Henry Ballo, who stated that the battleship is equipped with air-to-sea combat up to underwater combat.
“Its design has steel armor, it is able to scramble an enemy’s electromagnetic wave,” said Henry aboard the KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai on Wednesday, March 27.
The computerized battleship accommodates 111 personnel for each of the battle ship’s posts, who are ready and trained to go into a battle according to Henry. The ship itself is able to accommodate 120 crew members in total.
The 105.11-meter length battleship is set to continue its patrol to Bali after Makassar together with the Oto Melara 76/62 millimeter super rapid-gun and the 200-kilometer range SSM Exocet MM40 Block 3 missile.
