TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) given a warning to Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Minister Eko Putro Sandjojo for attending a campaign event of presidential-vice presidential candidate number 01 Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin without taking leave.
The commission found Eko committed administrative violation as regulated in Article 281 1b of Law No. 7/2017 on Election. Thus, Bawaslu imposed a sanction for the minister in the form of a reprimand and warned him to refrain from a similar mistake in the future.

Bawaslu made the decision since Eko failed to submit a leave letter on the day he attended a campaign in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi on February 22, 2019. On that day, the minister carried out dissemination on the village fund program in the region.
On Tuesday, March 26, at his office in Central Jakarta, Bawaslu head Abhan further reminded Eko Putro as a member of Jokowi - Ma'ruf campaigner not to join a campaign without a leave document signed by the administrator.
Until Tuesday evening, Tempo tried to reach Minister Eko Putro Sandjojo for confirmation yet with no avail.
