KPK to Visit Police Crime Unit for Talks of Terror Cases

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The worker’s union of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) would meet Police criminal investigation division chief Comr. Gen. Idham Azis today, March 27. The meeting will talk about police investigations into terror case against Novel Baswedan and other commission officials.
“We are questioning why Novel case has yet been resolved, it’s already been two years,” said the KPK worker’s union head Yudi Purnomo on Wednesday, March 27.

His team, Yudi added, would also question the police’s operation in handling terror threats against the anti-graft body members.
Yudi mentioned he had previously sent a letter to National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian concerning the meeting. Chief Tito then delegated Comr. Gen. Idham Azis.
To date, the KPK has recorded a total of 9 terror acts against its leaders and employees. The cases are the raid and terror in the KPK facility, bomb threat in KPK building, bomb threats in KPK investigator’s house, the acid attack against Novel Baswedan, death threats against KPK officials and employees, hijacking, kidnapping, and murder attempt as well.
